Ride it for a lifetime- We’re Extending Our Warranty

November 21, 2016

We are pleased to announce that all our frames now include lifetime warranty protection. We have nearly 10 years of data on real-world use and can confidently state that we now warrant our frames to be free of manufacturing defects for the life of the original owner.

Our frames are built to be ridden, and riders have put many thousands of miles on their bikes. We are lucky enough to hear back from many of our riders after years of riding; “my bike looks as good as it did when it arrived.”

The photo above is from Tarn Thompson, one of our original customers. He purchased one of our first R2s in 2008 as a training bike for his Pinarello Prince in riding centuries. After his first century on the R2, it became his go-to century bike and he rode eight in the first year he owned it. The R2 had carbon stays, so as soon as we introduced the R4 with wood stays in 2009 he purchased one of those. As of November 2016 the bikes have more than 28,000 combined miles on them. He says of his bikes “...I feel it's the best frame for reducing the vibration and shocks that are part of the north Texas chip seal cycling experience” Both of his bikes look brand new today.

Our prior warranty promised repair or replacement of frames for 10 years. We have scrupulously honored that promise which was crucial in helping us resolve early manufacturing issues which has then led to new and improved processes. We have yet to have one of our new generation bikes come back for repair. If you have questions about our warranty you may view it in full here.

Killian Pacific commissioned this Renovo bike for Simple Bank as a reminder of the power of modern technology combined with traditional products. Kind of like a bank built solely on a great user interface, or a six-story building made from one of humanity's oldest building materials. So we made a bike that's "Simple" to use, but packed with technology.

A Comprehensive Ride Review of the Pursuit

"Ride quality is clearly class-leading, just stunningly smooth and compliant. It soaks up the larger shocks, and damps the high frequency vibration better than any other frame material I've ridden, even Italian steel. In summary, the Renovo has been jaw-dropping impressive with its stunning ability to absorb bumps and provide a smooth ride while also remaining stiff and nearly flex-free when standing on the pedals."
