The FatAsh is a light, stiff and silent hardwood hardtail with the smoothest ride available on an unsuspended frame.
The FatAsh brings an unusual feeling of quiet calm and control to the toughest singletrack. Point it down an unfamiliar trail and you sense the bike has invited you to its home in the woods to play on the trail it knows best.
THAT is why we make and ride bikes of wood. THIS is the one bike that will make you a devoted fan of hardtails; a whole new experience of smoothness and responsivity without the complexity of full suspension. Wood does give us an advantage with its toughness and vibration absorbing properties (four times better than carbon,) but requires lots of challenging engineering to deliver this level of performance...and it delivers performance on all kinds of trails.
Light and stiff to climb with authority, superbly nimble and responsive to handle the tight technical stuff, stiff enough to manage the humongous traction of 3” tires and the and agility to shred the steeps with easy confidence. While we’ve designed the Fatash to take advantage of the traction and smoothness afforded by 650 x 3” tires, we also know the flowy and predictable ride of the frame inspires confidence even with smaller width 29er tires. So if you want a one-bike quiver killer, rest easy knowing you can swap in some 29er hoops for faster, flatter terrain and go pin on a race number. No matter how or where you ride it, the FatAsh will be your go-to hardtail and maybe your favorite new all-around mountain bike.
